On Friday October 14th, 2011 AFS celebrated Art Howe and Ward Chamberlin's 90th birthdays at the Yale Club in New York. Almost one hundred persons gathered in the ballroom of the Yale Club of New York - fellow AFS ambulance drivers and life trustees, returnees, former and current staff members, family and AFS friends. Among them were three AFS Foundation Board members and three of its advisors.
Ward is one of the founding and current Board members of the AFS Foundation.
The event was perfectly organized by Karin Eisele, Jackie Brown and Dan Hastings and the proceeds went to the AFS Archives.
